The College of Arts & Media has partnered with the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (CBSS) for the community-wide event, “Not Alone: Isolation to Connection,” an evening purposed to shed light on mental illness. This event, presented by the senior social work class of 2019 hosts world-renowned author, speaker, and Harvard Graduate, Hakeem Rahim. Hakeem is an “acceptance ambassador,” and his mission focuses on helping students overcome perceived limitations in order to live their best life. Additionally, CAM and CBSS welcome a panel of experienced individuals to speak on the subject including Jennifer Angelidis, Psy.D.; Coach R-Jay Barsh; Meghan Wagner, PA-C; and Paula Whitaker, Ph.D.
“Not Alone: Isolation to Connection” will take place on the campus of Southeastern University at 7:00 P.M. on April 10 in the Student Activities’ Center. This event is free to attend.
