German is the third most spoken language in STEM fields across the world and is vital for the study of classical vocal and instrumental music. It is also a critical language for international commerce and trade between the United States and the European Union. Learn to speak and write in German to CEFR B2 proficiency and be equipped to make a difference with your future international colleagues through the Department of Humanities within the College of Arts & Media.

Mandarin
Mandarin is spoken by over a billion speakers around the globe and is arguably the most widely-spoken language in the world. It is also the dominant form of the Chinese language. Learning Mandarin can position students to make a mark in the world of global commerce as well as providing them a path towards developing cultural relationships for humanitarian purposes.
